My last week in Taiwan has been fun. On monday, Grandma took my sister and me to Keelung for a short tour. We stopped by graves of my Great-grandparents, granduncle and a grandaunt and paid our respect. My granduncle and one of the grandaunts passed away few years ago (If I remember my family tree correctly, they are not related) and I was at US at the time, so my Grandma took this opportunity and took us there. The visit to their graves was emotional since I was pretty close with all of them and it was the first time I visited them. I missed them very much and I believe in my heart that they are at a much better place now. On Wednesday, I visited Taipei 101. First I had lunch with a few of my uncles, aunts, cousins and nieces at Taipei World Trade Center. They invited me to lunch as their way of saying goodbye since I'll be leaving tomorrow. Afterwards I visited Taipei 101. I spent a total of 4.5 hours over there. I visited the outskirt of Taipei 101 building, Sin Kung Mit..... (Sorry, forgot the spelling at the moment), New York New York, and Warner Village. I wanted to visit more places near Taipei 101 area but after 4.5 hours of walking, I was exhausted! So I caught the crowded MRT train home (I mean CROWDED! It was 6:30pm, right in the middle of the evening rush hour. The station and the train was PACKED! There were barely any room to stand!) I will post my Taiwan trip pictures later. Oh and,... I know you all missed me already, the good news is that I'm leaving Taiwan tomorrow night! As always, I better see you all at SFO 8/20 around 4:30pm. Be there! or else..... | |
