Taiwan Trip: Week 1 (6/15~6/21)

The first week in Taiwan has been restful. I had a chance to rest and get everything ready before TTT starts next week. Unfortunately, I am still showing some signs of jetlag since I am still waking up at 4am~5am in the past few days. On Thursday, my dad took me with him on a business trip and then we head to a B&B in 南投 and stayed for the night. The view from the patio was breathtaking. The temperature is nice and comfy. Not cold and not hot at all! I'll let the picture speak for itself....

Next morning, after having vegetarian breakfast, we drove 40 minutes to the highest point of Mid-Central Highway 中橫公路 and hiked up the Hehuan Mountain and another mountain. Both of them were over 3000+ Meters (Approximately 10000 Feet!)

The hike up to the Main Peak of Hehuan Mountain was pretty easy. However, because of the altitude, it was a bit hard to breathe on the way up. Once we reached the top, the view was great!

I felt really touched by a couple tried to hike up to the top.... The husband is partially disabled and the wife walked next to him and encourage him and give him supports. Although they didn't reach the top, but they were really close to the very top. Now those couple now officially has my respect for their bravery. In contrast, look at me, both of my feet are fully functional and I should feel appreciated about this. That's why I need to start to appreciate what's around me even more now.

More updates later!
